Mana’s Ikaroa Rawhiti candidate is calling on the Kaiti community to protest the planned closure of the Work and Income office in the low income Gisborne suburb.
Te Hamua Nikora says Social Development Minister Paula Bennett’s message to the people of Kaiti is she will make it as hard for them to get help as she can.
He says the government saves money by transferring the costs on to the people of Kaiti, who will have to travel into town for assistance.
Mr Nikora National doesn't care about helping whanau or helping them into work.
