Te reo theatre for marae

For the second year Maori theatre company Taki Rua will add marae performances to its annual Te Reo Maori Season of plays for schools.
The company has been touring te reo theatre to tamariki throughout Aotearoa for 19 years and is set to hit the road for eight weeks from the 21st of July.
The tour starts with a whanau performance at Manurewa Marae.
Director Maria Walker says this year's play by Noa Campbell has an environmental theme.
She says she wants to retain the magic she remembers from seeing plays at school, and push the boundaries stylistically.
