Haka for the White Sox
Members of the White Sox women’s team are fundraising so they can get to the World Softball championships later this year in the Netherlands.
For Katrina Nukunuku it will be her third series, having missed one to have her son.
She says New Zealand is ranked 11th in the world but on its current form it should be able to make the top eight.
She says the large number of Maori players gives the team a special feel, and for the first time at this year’s tournament the team will perform its own haka.
Katrina Nukunuku’s first fundraising activity is a quiz and action at the Mount Albert Ramblers softball club this weekend.
