Lardelli to share art with indigenous Canadians
Artist Derek Lardelli heads for Canada next week for an exchange programme with an indigenous art school in Terrace, British Columbia.
The Toi Maori board member is regarded as one of Aotearoa’s finest ta moko artists as well as a carver, graphic designer, kapa haka performer, composer and tutor for East Coast culture group Whangara Mai Tawhiti.
He will share his experiences with staff and students at the Freda Diesing Northwest Coast School of Indigenous Art.
He’ll also visit the Emily Carr University in Vancouver.
