NZ On Air Happy to Hikoi

New Zealand On Air is to fund a major hour-long documentary on the 1975 Maori Land March.
Hikoi, by Scottie Douglas Productions, will retrace the steps of the original marchers, speak to living participants and use archival footage of the actual march.
NZ On Air chief executive Jane Wrightson says it’s being funded under the new Te Rautaki Maori programming strategy and will screen on TV One.
The funding agency is also backing a new variety show on the same channel hosted by Temuera Morrison.
Happy Hour, will feature a mix of music and comedy, and be recorded in front of a live studio audience.
