Flavell adds up numbers right

Recent attempts by the Maori Party to show independence from National in the lead up to September’s election have been torpedoed by a maths lesson from co-leader Te Ururoa Flavell.
The former teacher has indicated his party would again back National if it wins the most votes at September's election.
He says it stands to reason to go with one party which has a greater majority than the other single parties.
Polling trends indicate the election could be close between National and the Labour-Greens grouping, with minor parties expected to have a big say in the final outcome.
