Kiwa wins digital prize
Maori-owned digital education pioneer Kiwa Digital has won an international award for its adaptation of a highly popular children’s book.
It won the best free app or ICT product category at the Gulf Educational Supplier & Solutions Exhibition in Dubai for its multi-lingual digital version of Milly, Molly and the Bike Ride.
The Milly, Molly series of books for children up to eight years of age promote the acceptance of diversity and the learning of life skills, and have been translated into 36 languages for distribution in over 100 countries.
Kiwa chief executive Rhonda Kite says the prize will help her company as it expands in the Middle East, which she says is the most exciting educational market in the world.
