Best young Maori farmer sought

Young farmers have until tomorrow to get their names in for the Ahuwhenua Young Maori Farmer of the Year competition.
This year the judges are looking to test the skill and proficiency of rangatahi working in the dairy sector.
Entry is free, and is open to those aged 16-25 who are enrolled in or have completed a National Certificate in Agriculture Level 3 or higher during the past year.
The judges will be looking for ambitious young Maori with initiative, industry knowledge and a commitment to Maoritanga.
The finalists will be revealed in April, and the winner will be announced at the Ahuwhenua Trophy awards dinner in Tauranga in June.
