Donna Grant on broadcast funding board

Rotorua identity Donna Grant has been appointed to the board of New Zealand On Air.
The daughter of the late Sir Howard Morrison is national director of the National Institute of Performing Arts, Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi.
She is also executive director of the Manaakitanga Aotearoa Charitable Trust, a private training establishment.
Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss says her considerable governance experience gained from serving on community, sports and Maori performing arts boards will add depth and useful perspective to the board.
He also announced the reappointment of Stephen McElrea for another term.
Mr McElrea, who chairs Prime Minister John Key’s electorate committee, was the subject of controversy when it was revealed he used his position on the board to question TV3’s decision to screen a NZ On Air-funded documentary on child poverty four days before the 2011 general election.
