The Federation of Family Budgeting Services is giving budgeting tips in Te Reo Māori.
Chief Executive Raewyn Fox says 43 percent of budgeting clients identify themselves as Māori, so the federation thought the series of short videos would be a great way to get its message out and celebrate Māori Language Week.
She says there has been a big increase in the number of Māori visiting budgeting centres, so they are now the single largest demographic.
Ms Fox says an important part of offering budgeting advice is making the client feel comfortable, so services try to have multilingual and culturally aware staff.
