One of the foremost authorities on Māori musical instruments will be honoured by a concert at Te Papa in Wellington tomorrow night.
Organiser Charles Royal says Richard Nunns has played a significant role in the revival of tāonga puoro.
Along with the late Dr Hirini Melbourne, Brian Flintoff and others, he researched and rebuilt the instruments, some of which had not been played for over a century.
The concert, which starts at 6.15pm and is free.
