Waipareira teams up with US trust

West Auckland’s Te Whānau ō Waipareira has signed a memorandum of understanding with a United States organisation, Families First that delivers services to whānau in Atlanta, Georgia.
Chief Executive John Tamihere says both organisations have similar kaupapa, and the relationship should help in the development of services.
He says Waipareira is reaching out to indigenous organisations around the world as part of its 25 Year Strategic plan, which will be unveiled tomorrow.
Families First Chief Executive Kim Anderson says the relationship will allow the organisations to develop and share best practice in designing, evaluating and delivering outcomes-based services.
Radio Waatea will be broadcasting from Waipareira's Whānau house from 7am tomorrow.
