Te Arawa Fisheries has made the plunge into retail.
General Manager Shane Heremaia says the company, which manages the tribe’s fisheries settlement assets, believes there is room in Rotorua for a specialist store selling high quality seafood.
Te Arawa Fresh opens today at the Redwood Centre selling fresh seafood and takeaways.
It’s run by Anthony Palmer, who won the Golden Knife title for top fish filleter in the national fish filleting championships three years in a row.
