Minto puts Mana policies in mayoral race

Mana Vice President, John Minto, says the party's kaupapa is a good fit with the needs of Aucklanders.
The long time social justice campaigner has asked the party for permission to campaign under its banner for the Auckland mayoralty.
He says taking on the incumbent Len Brown in this year's local government election will be a chance to let more people learn about Manas' ideas.
“Manas' policies would be incredibly good for the majority of people living in Auckland. The problem with Len Brown is, Len’s a nice man, but he’s captured by the business leaders. He couldn’t even stand up and support the workers employed by the Ports of Auckland and council employees,” he says.
John Minto says unlike Len Brown, he won't expect any corporate contributions to his campaign.
