Mana leader Hone Harawira is stirring up the Māori Party leadership battle.
He told Mana’s annual conference that Te Ururoa Flavell set his sights on the top job soon after entering Parliament, and worked to oust him from the party because he was seen as an obstacle.
He says the Waiariki MP is not listening to members who say he is not up to the job of being leader and they want to stick with Pita Sharples.
Mr Harawira believes Mana President Annette Sykes can take Waiariki from Mr Flavell in the next election.
