Kura looking at best practice

Kura kaupapa Māori are researching into the best way to teach in Māori immersion schools.
Ngā Pūtanga, an offshoot of Te Rūnanganui ō Ngā Kura Kaupapa ō Aotearoa, is collating information on how the Māori curriculum, Te Aho Matua, can be implemented.
Rawiri Wright, the principal of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori ō Hoani Waititi in West Auckland and a director of Ngā Pūtanga, says its part of a process of continuous improvement that people in the sector are committed to.
“As knowledge grows and as we get in touch with our past like revising tikanga, we ensure that learning will be never ending,” Rawiri Wright says.
