Last of free webinars
The value of cultural identity in preventing Māori suicide will be discussed in the last of three free online seminars today.
The webinars, organised by the Mental Health Foundation, have aimed at getting some of the latest thinking on the issue to a wide audience.
Dr Nicola Coupe from Kereru Research Evaluation and Development will share her research on how to integrate cultural models into clinical practice to improve care for Māori people who have attempted suicide.
Dr Lynne Russell, who is a Senior Research Fellow at Victoria University’s Health Services Research Centre, will review whether the mental health services available to Māori are working.
The webinar will run from 12:30 – 1:30pm.
Previous webinars are also on the spinz.org.nz website.
