Māori Television crosses ditch

Māori living in Australia got their first taste of Te Kaea last night.
The Māori Television news programme will run every Sunday night on National Indigenous Television.
The channel, which launched free to air in December, also shows Hunting Aotearoa and Tangaroa with Pio.
Māori Television Chief Executive Jim Mather says with 140,000 Māori among the 800,000 New Zealanders living across the Tasman, it’s important to broadcast programmes there.
