Māori role shared around

Labour’s Māori spokesperson says he is happy to share the workload.
In this week’s Labour reshuffle, Parekura Horomia kept the shadow responsibility for Māori Affairs and Treaty of Waitangi.
Hauraki Waikato MP Nanaia Mahuta picked up Māori Development, Māori Education and Youth Affairs as consolation for losing the main education role and dropping three places in the rankings.
Mr Horomia says it's a big portfolio.
“One of the difficulties in the Māori portfolio is making sure that every other area has it covered from conservation through to housing and health. There is alot to do. We are about jobs and we are about housing and health,” Parekura Horomia says.
