Maniapoto executive in top seat at MOTAT

A Ngati Maniapoto man with extensive international corporate experience has been appointed chief executive of Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology.
Michael Frawley is the former managing partner of UK law firm Taylor Wessing, and he has a long standing involvement with the National Portrait Gallery in London. His personal interests include classic cars, airplanes, historic houses and cooking. Grant Kirby, regarded as one of local government’s best trouble shooters, is MOTAT’s new chair, with broadcaster and television producer Claudette Hauiti from Nga Puhi and Ngati Porou coming on board as his deputy.
