High Mana visibility Harawira highlight
Mana leader Hone Harawira says sovereignty has turned into a major issue this year.
The Tai Tokerau MP highlights the party’s involvement in protests against union busting at Ports of Auckland and Affco, state house sell-offs at Glen Innes and elsewhere, and the New Zealand Māori Council’s water claim that has slowed down the Government’s asset sales programme.
But he says it’s the Government’s undermining of New Zealand’s sovereignty that is really sparking public concern.
“I mean Māori sovereignty is one thing, but our whole National sovereignty is going up on the block with this Trans Pacific Partnership agreement. Mana has been highly involved and visible in that too. I guess for me, the big thing is how involve and how visible Mana has been right throughout the whole year”. says Hone Harawira.
