Brendan Horan ousted from NZ First caucus
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters has expelled Brendan Horan from the party and wants him to quit parliament.
The former television weatherman turned gold trader had been given leave to sort out a family dispute about money allegedly missing from his late mother's bank account.
But Mr Peters told parliament yesterday he had received material that caused him to lose confidence in the MP.
Mr Horan's solicitor says the Maniapoto man intends to stay as an MP, and completely denies any suggestion that he has stolen from his mother or misappropriated her money or assets.
