Mahuta says further reprisals unwarranted
Labour's Hauraki Waikato MP Nanaia Mahuta says while her position may be seen as tenuous, her commitment is to the next government being Labour.
Ms Mahuta ran as deputy to David Cunliffe in last year's leadership race, and the New Lynn MP's post-conference demotion by David Shearer has cast doubt over the rankings of some of his supporters.
Ms Mahuta says further action is unwarranted.
"Last Tuesday assured that David Shearer has the confidence of caucus. As the leader he is out there promoting the values of Labour. Only time will tell and certainly people will be watching polls very closely and taking public opinion on board as to what the picture looks like beyond 2014," she says.
