Scholarships remember Te Atairangikaahu

Two Waikato University students will have their end of year bills eased with scholarships in memory of the late Māori queen Te Atairangikaahu.
The scholarships are funded jointly by Waikato Tainui and the Waikato Regional Council.
Law student Adrienne Paul from Ngāti Awa and Tūhoe, who is from Motiti Island, is keen to work on developing Māori land blocks and trusts.
Kiriana Jennifer Waru from Ngāti Mahuta is in the second year of a Bachelor of Arts degree and hopes to qualify as a Te Reo Māori teacher and work in the performing arts.
