Mental Awareness week – Opotiki Day


Today will see over 30 participate walk down the main centre of Opotiki in acknowledgment of Mental Awareness week which began on Monday, this year’s theme is to take time, to take a breath and to take notice.
In the Eastern Bay of Plenty the Opotiki area will be running a hikoi down the centre of the town.
Tirohia te kōkiri Trust and Te Whakatōhea Social Services are two of the main groups running this event. Health worker, Emma Kutia says that there are many activities set for today.
