Jones attacks Greens over Sealord spoof ad
Labour list MP Shane Jones is slamming a Greenpeace campaign that overdubs voices on a Sealord ad to attack the Maori-owned fishing company’s activities.
The former Te Ohu Kaimoana and Sealord chair says green groups are two-faced, in that they will support East Coast Maori who are opposing off shore drilling, but they attack a Maori company providing jobs for Maori.
He also attacked the Green Party, whose MP Gareth Hughes drew attention to the ad on Twitter.
He says the Greens have become the political wing of Greenpeace.
Greenpeace campaigner Mike Smith says Greenpeace is attacking Sealord’s use of tuna from other companies which use purse seine net in the Western Pacific.
