Netball – Bay of Plenty lose to Wellington

The Bay of Plenty netball team straggled against Wellington with the final scores being 53-37 at the TECT Arena on Sunday, in the fourth and final preliminary round of the Lion Foundation provincial netball championships.
It was the fourth straight loss this season for coach Mary-Jane Araroa’s team, who are in serious rebuilding mode after losing six of last year’s top players. Bay of Plenty started each of the four quarters well against Wellington but were run down by a stronger, more experienced team.
