Shane Reti wins Harvard post
A former Northland GP has been made Professor at the Division of Clinical Informatics, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Shane Reti is an expert in the use of health information technology.
The Division of Clinical Informatics was among the first academic divisions in the world to concentrate on the use of computers for patient care, teaching, and medical research hospital-wide.
Before leaving to study in the United States, Dr Reti was a director of the Northland District Health Board.
He was awarded a Queens Service Medal for his contribution to medical research, health, and Maori education.
